Farmer: Geraldo Luiz da Silva (Soró)

This microlot really stood out on our cupping table.

The name, which means the Little Waterfall Valley comes from the small waterfall located in the east end of the valley. Born under the nose of Sítio Novo Canaã, the Da Silva family headed by Seu Geraldo, Naldinho, Soró and Zé Pato steward this beautiful piece of land together with their neighbours, the Bertelli´s.

"Here we have good water, our water is mineral, born at 1300 MASL. I have being saying this for a while: We need to make quality. Our coffee is artisanal, handmade."
Seu Geraldo 2018

In 2008 Seu Geraldo and his family joined up with Marcos Croce and the FAFCoffees team to embark on the 100YR Project. After many beers, stories, laughter and sharing of ideas, the two patriarchs dreamed up a future of high quality coffees, a healthy community, and better prices for their beans. Last but not the least, that the waters of the Cachoeirinha run pristine, from the top of the valley and beyond.

Tastes like: Flavour notes are complex and range from chocolate mousse, mango, caramel, and macadamia with tropical fruits and hints of black tea. The mouthfeel is velvety.
